Sarah K. Palmer, MS

EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST, OWNER AND FOUNDER

Sarah’s life has been devoted to sports and athletics. With a well-rounded background in the fitness field and a Personal Trainer since 1994, she has extensive experience in different fitness settings: health club, physical therapy, corporate fitness and in-home. Pursuing her own vision, Sarah established foreverfitness on July 1, 2011.

As a lifelong athlete, she enjoys running, cycling, paddle boarding, hiking, yoga, tennis, triathlons, and meditation. You name it, she’s tried it!

Sarah has developed a special interest in working with people with Parkinson’s disease and has worked with Parkinson’s clients for over 24 years. She continues to expand her knowledge of Parkinson’s specific exercise through continuing education, including training at the University of Milwaukee (Parkinsonism, Retraining the Brain Through Exercise), Delay the Disease, PWR! Fitness Training, Allied Team Training for Parkinson’s (ATTP) and Rock Steady Boxing.

Sarah donates her time to the PWR! Retreat each year in Arizona, has been a featured presenter at the Sunflower Rev It Up for Parkinson’s Symposium and Expo, and serves on their planning committee. Her father, Don Krumme, had Parkinson’s disease and this personal experience continues to inspire and motivate her professionally.

Sarah’s Exercise Philosophy

“The purpose of exercising is to have your body and brain feel better and to be healthier. Exercise enables you to do all the things you want to do for as long as possible, in short, to be “forever fit”. My approach is to exercise in a safe, effective, efficient and progressive manner with lots of variety. I want clients to feel better, healthier, be able to do things that they weren’t able to do before.”

My life motto is: ‘I think I can…I think I can.’ I bring that positive attitude to each and every client. Every day my goal is to improve the quality of life for all of my clients.

Katie James, PT, DPT

LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST, ACE CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER

Katie has always been active, participating in a variety of sports while growing up, primarily gymnastics. After injuring her back and ankle in gymnastics, requiring her to go through physical therapy to recover, inspired her to pursue physical therapy as a career. Throughout college and beyond, Katie has maintained her fitness by marathon running, lifting weights, and playing recreational softball.

During graduate school, Katie volunteered by assisting in an exercise class for people living with Parkinson’s disease. She quickly developed a passion for working with these individuals. After working in a hospital as a physical therapist for five years, Katie decided to pursue her passion for helping people, especially those living with multiple medical issues, Parkinson’s disease, and older adults, live a better life through exercise.

Katie’s Exercise Philosophy

“Exercise is more than just something you do, it is a part of your lifestyle. Whether you are an athlete training for the next event, a retired adult, or somewhere in between, exercise has something to offer. My goal is to show how exercise can help you individually and improve your quality of life. I have never heard someone say “I really regret that workout.” I have often heard people say, “I wish I would have kept moving.” God only gave you one body, so take care of it!”
